I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!  The owners are fabulous (Dorothy).  We will go there for lunch a lot and not go for a few months and she always remembers our group and what we order.

If you go for lunch you have to try the “Box A” – It comes with 3 pieces of California Roll, 1 Tuna Sushi, 1 Salmon Sushi, 2 Shrimp Tempura, vegetable Tempura, and Salmon Teriyaki.  You will also get a great salad when you first get there with the BEST Ginger dressing I have ever had.  And their Miso soup is the only one I really like.  Their sushi is unbelievably fresh.  We have been eating here for about 3 years now and have never had bad food or service!

Sorry no picture to go along with this.  Damn digital camera won’t hold a charge right now!

Homemade Nachos

1lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
1 packet Taco Seasoning
Tortilla Chips
Tomatoes
Onions
Green Peppers
Monterray Jack Cheese

Fat Free Refried Beans
Fat Free Sour Cream
Salsa

Preheat oven to 400.
While browning hamburger, dice tomatoes, onion and green peppers.  Once hamburger is browned add taco seasoning.  Once oven is preheated begin layering in a pyrex dish.
(I usually do chips, then hamburger, then veggies topped with cheese)

Place in oven for approx 10 minutes (looking for warmed veggies and melted cheese).

While nacho is in the oven I heat up a the Refried Beans and serve on the side with a little salsa and sour cream.

Last night some friends and I went to Emagine to see Sex and the City.  What a great movie!  Afterwards we were going to go hang out at Buffalo Wild Wings but because of the Red Wings game (GO WINGS!), they were packed.  We decided to go to Godaiko.  Two of us are huge sushi fans but had never been there and the other two had never really had sushi before.

Let me say this place was pretty much empty, not a good sign right…WRONG!  Our waiter was hilarious once he realized that he could badger us like we were badgering him.  The food was PHENOMENAL!  We took forever to order and their kitchen was getting ready to close so we finally settled on the Hot California Rolls – by far the best I’ve ever had, and split what I believe was named the “Godaiko Box” or something like that.  All I know is it is a HUGE amount of food and it was delicious!  The box actually comes on a tray and had White Tuna, Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, Salmon Teriyaki, KOBE beef stuffed with Carrot and Asparagus, Regular California Rolls, Shrimp Tempura and Vegetable Tempura.  I had two Cosmopolitans which were also some of the best I’ve had.  It was pricey there, I believe for 2 drinks and 2 pops, the dinner and the salads a couple of girls got our bill was about $75.  But for the amount of food that we got it and the service it was totally worth it!  It was a very nice place and I will definitely be going back!

So I’ve been thinking about this blog and I’ve decided that I am going to not only put up recipes that I make but I’d also like to tell everyone about great (or horrible) restaurants that I eat at.

Tonights dinner was a Flatout Wrap pizza…mmm.  No real receipe just whatever you like to use on homemade pizza.  I do prefer to use the “Kidz Original Size” wrap as even though they are smaller they are very filling because of all the fiber and protein in them.

I preheat the oven to 400

Spread Pizza Sauce on wrap (I use Ragu Pizza Sauce)
Add Mozzarella Cheese
Add favorite toppings (mine has chopped garlic, onion, and turkey pepperonni)

Bake for 10-15 minutes.  I obviously went over on the timing of mine, this was about 20 minutes baking or so.

The only complaint I have about these pizza’s is that the crusts don’t get crunchy all the time.  I bake mine on a baking stone from Pampered Chef.

Enjoy!

I am so excited about this blog!  I hope to produce some healthy meals and great cakes.  I am currently on WeightWatchers so I’ll try and make the food as appealing as possible.
